9th & Brunswick
9th and Brunswick was originally zoned for single family and multi-family houses. A few years ago the plan was changed at the request of a developer to build taller and denser. The developer never built but sold the property to the Shuster Development.
9th and Brunswick went through various rounds of proposed redevelopment plans and site plan changes, each time adding more sellable square footage to the project. The community came out strongly against the request to build higher and denser.
The Shuster Development is currently building 'as of right' with the option to go back to the planning board and ask for more height at a later date.
Neighbors have complained that their houses shake all day with the current construction.
